Oncore Seniors Society is a vibrant and growing non-profit society offering seniors and people with disabilities access to affordable housing and supports for healthy aging. Our passion and commitment is to make a positive difference in the lives of the people we serve by providing an equitable high-quality living experience. With three amazing locations, Kamloops (2) and Prince George (1), we offer attractive suites, full dining room service and social and recreational programming for residents to flourish and remain actively engaged in their neighbourhood and community for years to come.

- Leading – Hiring, coaching, and developing a diverse team of dedicated managers and employees who are inspired and passionate about providing a consistently high standard of service and resident support.
- Planning – Engaging the team in the development of strategic business plans, budgeting and forecasting, goals achievement and performance measures.
- Managing – Effectively managing all department operations, fiscal resources, and collective agreement requirements.
- Analyzing – Considering environmental changes and emerging trends and posing challenges, opportunities and solutions.
- Engaging – Building relationships and welcoming feedback from employees, residents, and families for goal achievement and continuous improvement.
- Complying – Consistently implementing policies and procedures as required by the Society, union and applicable legislative/regulatory organizations.
- Achieving – Meeting or exceeding established targets for employee engagement, resident satisfaction, internal/external audits, occupancy, and net operating profit.
- Cultivating – Building strong relationships and a consistent brand among community members, future prospects, residents and stakeholders.
- Supporting – Building, sustaining and strengthening Board functions.

PRINCE GEORGE— Not-for-Profit housing provider, Oncore Seniors Society, at RiverBend Seniors Community are proposing to build NEW Affordable Seniors (55+) Housing in Prince George. The potential completion is late 2021. Oncore strives to provide more than just housing! We aspire to develop a sense of community for residents through design, services and amenities that will contribute to a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle for years to come.

12 New Housing Units on the way for Seniors and Disabled Kamloops Residents
KAMLOOPS — The latest housing addition to downtown Kamloops will also feature extra homes for seniors and people with disabilities.
Oncore Seniors Society has announced construction is underway on 12 new affordable homes within one floor of The Lightwell, a new 6-storey development under construction along St. Paul Street.
In a release, the Society says the BC Government is providing around $2.25 million in capital funding for the project.
“We are thrilled to work with Oncore Seniors Society to give more people in Kamloops the security and peace of mind that comes with having an affordable place to call home,” said Selina Robinson, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing. “We are going to keep working hard to make life better for families, seniors and people with disabilities in Kamloops and across B.C.”
Located at 444 St. Paul Street, the mixed-use development that the units will add to already includes 140 residential units and commercial space.
Oncore Seniors Society
River City Seniors Society was originally established in the mid-1960’s. Seniors Outreach Services Society was originally established in the mid-1990’s. In 2013 Oncore Seniors Society was formed by the amalgamation of these two organizations. With financial assistance from BC Housing we are able to assist seniors to live independently in a safe and affordable environment. We currently have projects in Kamloops and Prince George.
Board of Directors
Mona is a Commercial Real Estate Agent, and currently works with MCM Real Estate Ltd. She has over 30 years of experience in Real Estate and over 25 years of experience in Property Management.
Jay worked as an executive in the hospitality industry all over North America for 30 years. He is now retired and living in Kamloops. He has been a member of the Oncore Seniors Society Board of Directors since August of 2014.
Garry is semi-retired, with 40 years experience as a businessman. For the last 9 years he has been working as an accountant in the Kamloops area. Garry has been with the Oncore Seniors Society Board of Directors since 2009 and served as the Chairman from 2011 to 2020.
Doug is a retired High School Teacher and Athletic Commissioner for the Okanagan Valley.
Leslie is currently a consultant for project management, real estate development, and marketing strategies. She had a 17-year career with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, and 18 years experience in Marketing and Public Relations for a land development company.
Jamie currently works as a Senior Financial Analyst. He has 17 years of experience in accounting and strategic business leadership, as well as 8 years of property management.
Ray works in Advertising for “Kamloops This Week”, where he has been since 2004. He has volunteered with many Business Improvement Associations, as well as several Community Associations and Events in the Kamloops area.
Joshua is a financial professional providing commercial financing solutions to clients throughout British Columbia. He is a partner at FIT Financial and Arpa Investments. He is also the current President of the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce.
Doug has been a practicing lawyer in the Kamloops area since 1985, with a focus on business, corporate, commercial, finance, and real estate law. He has also been an instructor for the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology since 1986, teaching Business Law and Economics.
